Video of elderly woman being thrashed goes viral, son and grandson arrested
Mangaluru, July 17: Within hours after the disturbing video of an elderly woman being brutally thrashed by her family members, vent viral on the social media Belthangady Police arrested the woman’s son and grandson.
On Friday, a video of a 70-year-old woman from Savanal village in Belthangady being thrashed vent viral on the social media. The Belthangady police lead by Inspector Sandesh P and SI Nandakumar took notice of this and immediately filed a suo motu case and arrested Shrinivas Shetty (son of the woman) and Pradeep Shetty (grandson).
A case under IPC Section 323 and 504 along with Section 24 of Senior Citizens Act 2007 has been registered by the police.
