Total COVID positives cross 2000 in DK
Mangaluru, July 11: Dakshina Kannada district recorded 186 cases on Saturday increasing the total number of cases in the district to 2,034. With this Dakshina Kannada became the first district in coastal region to cross the 2,000 mark.
Dakshina Kannada: Of the 186 cases, 37 are primary cases, 64 with influenza-like illness, and 17 with respiratory. Two who had traveled from Bengaluru and 10 who returned from abroad tested positive. The positives include seven pre-surgery samples, 4 pre delivery samples, and 13 random samples. Meanwhile, the contact of 32 is under tracing.
The district has recorded three deaths- A 33-year-old person and a 67-year-old woman on July 10 and a 78-year-old person on July 11. Their samples tested them COVID positive.
Udupi: The district recorded 90 positive cases today. Of these 66 are from Udupi Taluk, 20 from Kudapur, and 4 from Karkala.
The total number of positives in the district is 1,566 of which 1,245 patients have been discharged. The total number of active cases in the district is 319.
Uttara Kannada: The district recorded 33 positive cases including two health staff.
Of the 33 patients, 13 are from Mundagod, 10 from Karwar, 8 from Haliyal and one each from Sirsi and Honnavar.
