Uttara Kannada sees spurt in COVID cases
Karwar, July 06: Uttara Kannada district saw a spurt in number of COVID with 81 positives on Monday.
Karnataka recorded 1843 positive cases on Monday of which 981 are from Bengaluru Urban.
Uttara Kannada district recorded a sudden increase with 81 cases on Monday. Of these 45 are from Bhatkal, 20 from Kumta, 9 from Honnavar, 5 from Karwar and one each from Yellapur and Sirsi.
Dakshina Kannada: The district reported two deaths and 34 COVID positives today.
A 52 year old person from Mangaluru with BP, heart issues and pneumonia was admitted to Wenlock Hospital on July 2. He was under treatment at ICU but failed to respond to treatment. He died today morning.
A 62 year old person was under treatment at a private hospital since June 27. He too died today morning.
Of the 34 positives, 9 had influenza like illness, 17 are primary contacts and contacts of 7 are under tracing.
Udupi: The district recorded 40 positive cases on Monday.
