DK COVID cases cross 100 in a single day
Mangaluru, July 05: Dakshina Kannada crossed the century mark on Sunday by recording 147 COVID new cases.
Dakshina Kannada: The health bulletin stated that the source of 53 patients is under investigation, 35 are primary contacts, 40 with influenza like illness, and 2 with a respiratory infection.
Eight people who had come from abroad, 7 who had come from other state and Bengaluru and 2 people who had come from Malaysia by ship tested positive.
Ten people are under treatment in ICU. The total number of COVID cases in the district is 1232. The district has recorded 22 deaths of which 20 are considered as COVID deaths.
Udupi: Recorded an increase in COVID cases. The district recorded 45 new cases on Sunday. The total positives in the district are 1322.
Meanwhile, Uttara Kannada recorded 21 cases. Of these nine were reported from Bhatkal, 3 each from Kumta, Mundagod, Haliyal, and 2 from Karwar.
