COVID cases with SARI, ILI, primary contacts see increase along coastal Karnataka
Mangaluru: The coastal districts saw an increase in the number of COVID cases on Wednesday with Udupi recording 14, Dakshina Kannada 12 and Uttara Kannada 9.
The state recorded 397 cases. Notably COVID cases have been reported from all districts in the state except Haveri and Bagalakote.
Dakshina Kannada: Of the total 14 cases, 7 patients who had influenza like illness (ILI) and one with Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) tested positive. The remaining four are Sharjah returnees.
Udupi: Three patients (P-9760, P-9771 and P-9772) are contact of P-3851. One patient P-9761 had come from Bengaluru and contact of another is under tracing. The remaining 9 had returned from Maharashtra.
Uttara Kannada: Of the 9 positives, 8 had returned from Maharashtra and one patient (P-9778) is contact of P-7274.
