COVID-19: 22 new cases today in Udupi, 702 patients discharged till now
Udupi: The district again recorded 22 positives on Friday. Of these 21 are Maharashtra returnees. The other is the relative of a lab technician. The lab technician and the child tested positive a few days ago and today an elderly, 71-year-old, person of the house tested positive.
Udupi DC G Jagadeesha said that to date 702 COVID patients have been discharged from the hospital.
“Others are under treatment. Once the patients test negative they will be sent home,” he said.
Dakshina Kannada district recorded 17 cases. Of these 14 were UAE returnees, 2 from Maharashtra, and one SARI case.
The four who tested positive in Uttara Kannada were Maharashtra returnees.
