COVID-19: 45 new positives in Udupi, 2 in DK
Udupi: Compared to Sunday, Udupi district recorded a slight rise in the COVID number on Monday with 45 new cases. Three cases were registered in Dakshina Kannada.
The total number of positive cases in Udupi continues to be the highest in the state with 628 of this 318 are active.
Of the 45 positive cases, 44 are Maharashtra returnees. “A lab technician tested positive yestereday. Today the child tested positive,” Udupi DC G Jagadeesh told reporters.
He also said that about 113 patients who tested positive after treatment would be discharged.
Almost all the positives are Maharashtra returnees except one in Dakshina Kannada who had returned from the UAE.
