COVID-19: 121 new cases in Udupi on Saturday
Udupi: With 121 new cases, the number of positives further swelled in the Udupi district to 889.
Udupi DC G Jagadeesha said that of the 121 tested positive 120 are from Udupi who had come from Maharashtra. One person is from Dakshina Kannada district.”All are sent to COVID centers,” he said.
Jagadeesha also asked the people not to panic.
“Today 101 COVID patients are being discharged in Udupi. Of the positive cases, nobody is critical or under ICU. So people need not fear. We will discharge 101 today and are hopeful of more discharges in the coming days,” he added.
Dakshina Kannada too saw a surge in the number with 24 positives.
Though most of them are from Maharashtra, five are Dubai returnees, 1 from Ukraine and another from Saudi Arabia.
