COVID-19: With 92 new cases, Udupi’s total increases to 564

Udupi: With 92 new cases on Thursday, Udupi district, which was in the green zone just a month ago now stands first in the total number of positive cases. The total number of positive cases in Udupi is 564 of which 481 are active. 

On Thursday Karnataka recorded 257 positive cases.

Udupi DC G Jagadeesh said that 91 of the patients were from Maharasthra and one from Dakshina Kannada district.

All have been shifted to the designated hospitals. Only 5 patients are symptomatic who will be provided treatment at TMA Pai hospital. Others would undergo treatment at the Taluk level hospitals.

In Dakshina Kannada, four tested positive of which three are Mumbai returnees and one had come from Dubai. They have been shifted to Wenlock Hospital.
