Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Corporation is all set to release the ‘Tiger,’ on Friday!
Yes. Mangaluru City Corporation has decided to start the operation against illegal shops on footpaths and roadside. The ‘tiger,’ vehicle will clear those shops and take away the belongings in the shops.
The most ambitious Operation Tiger was started by Mangalore City Corporation in 2011 to clear the footpaths in the city. Under this operation, all illegal street and footpath vendors were cleared.
This ‘Tiger,’ was active for some years but was shelved later.
“We have received many complaints about illegal shops and footpath vendors. Thus Mangaluru City Corporation has declared to start the operation again from Friday,” Mangaluru Mayor Diwakar told in a press statement.
