Mobile shops in Belthangady to be open till 2 pm
In the past week two positive cases were detected in Belthangady Taluk. One patient is believed to have visited some shops in Belthangady Town.
As the mobile shops are vulnerable, the owners have expressed their concern and have taken this decision.
“People do not follow the instructions. Some customers understand the situation and take care. But many do not follow any. People who come to purchase a handset touch all the dummy sets. When they come for an earphone they test them too. Sanitizing all is very difficult,” a Mobile shop owner told The Canara Post.
“Thus we held a meeting today. A resolution was passed by the 75 mobile sales and service shop owners of Belthangady Taluk to keep open the shop only till 2 pm for the next few days,” he added.
A source said that if there is any increase in COVID cases then the shop owners may review their decision and may shut the shops early or close down for some days.
