COVID-19: Two from Dakshina Kannada among 54 positive in Karnataka
Of the two, one is from Jeppu Patna in Mangaluru and other had come to Mangaluru from Mumbai.
Mangaluru: Of the two who tested COVID-19 positive, the district administration is yet to find the source of the virus in one case. The other had come from Mumbai and was under quarantine.
The Sunday afternoon bulletin mentions 54 COVID cases including three from the coastal districts.
P-1094 is a 31-year-old person from Jeppu Patna in Mangaluru. His samples were sent and he was tested COVID positive on Sunday. Health department officials said that the source of the virus in him is yet to be traced.
P-1095 is a 35-year-old woman from Mangaluru. She had come from Mumbai and was under quarantine.
They are shifted to COVID hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the bulletin also includes details of one person from Udupi who had died two days ago.
P-1093 had come to Udupi from Mumbai and was under quarantine. He suffered a heart attack. He died on May 14. His samples were sent for testing and on Saturday he tested positive.
Of the total 54 tested positive on Sunday, 37 had returned to the state from Mumbai, two from Thane, one Kolhapur, and one Tamilnadu.
