Forest Department clears empty liquor bottles and plastic covers
Many people who travel on the road in the forest or who stay in the resorts and homestays in the forest area dump the empty liquor bottles on the roadside.Activists and forest officials have seen many animals bleed because of such irresponsible acts.
The forests near Kamalashile houses animals like Bisons, Sambar Deer, and Wild Boar.
Noticing hundreds of bottles and plastic covers thrown on both the sides of the road connecting Kamalashile and Baregundi, the forest department officials cleared them.
They also installed Closed Circuit Cameras to ensure that such acts do not continue.
Officials have also decided to book cases against those who litter.
Meanwhile, the animals forest department officials have created small pits in three places and filled them with water to provide water for wildlife.
