As per the definition of Containment Zone stated in Government Order of April 17, the DK district Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh had declared the areas near the residence of COVID-19 patients as Containment zones. Three among those have been de- notified today.
“Based on the report of the District Health and Family Welfare Officer, the following containment zones are de-notified,” the notification stated.
The decision has been taken since no new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the last 28 days of the last positive case of that area. Also as all the primary and secondary contacts have completed home quarantine in the Containment Zone.
The de-notified Containment Zones are Sajipanadu in Bantwal (near P-56’s house), Janatha Colony of Karaya Village in Belthangady (near P-64’s house) and Ajjavara of Sullia (near P-97’s house).
These were among the seven places declared as containment zone on April 18 by the DC.
