State has lost a bold and upfront emerging leader : SDPI

Mangaluru: The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of activist Mahendra Kumar.

“The untimely death of Mahendra Kumar who gained popularity in the state for his audacious voice for social justice and fraternity has bewildered us. Social Democratic Party of India, Karnataka expresses its deep sorrow. The state has lost a dynamic leader in the path of social harmony and justice,” SDPI state president Elyas Muhammad Thumbe said.

“Though initially he was identified as a flag bearer in the communal and right-wing intemperance he realized that the path moved by him was full of evil. Then he transformed himself towards secularism, social harmony, and justice and evolved as an emerging leader by creating a wave in the state,” he said.

“His straight, humanist and pungent eloquence earned him huge fans in the state.  His newly started ‘Janadhwani’ YouTube channel gained massive viewers and considered a challenge for corrupt and communal media. SDPI Karnataka expresses it’s condolences. The departure of Mahendra Kumar is a big loss to the state,” Mr Elyas Muhammad Thumbe added.
