Mangaluru, April 21: Suffering from cough, fever or breathing problem? If the answer is yes then Dakshina Kannada district administration wants you to bring this to the notice of the health department.
The Dakshina Kannada district administration has been workig towards control of COVID-19 in collaboration with the Health Department since February 2020. Health Department officials have been contacting every resident who has a history of travel abroad.
The health of those who returned and who had been under home quarantine is being given more attention.
Assuring complete secrecy, the district administration has asked the general public to contact the nearest Fever Clinic if they have fever, cough or breathing problems.
“It is very regrettable that the public does not freely share information about their health issues with the authorities in fear or embarrassment. Private hospital physicians have already been mandated to provide information on patients with fever and other symptoms. Similarly, all private doctors are also advised to provide information. Strict action would be taken if they failed to provide details,” the press communique from the Deputy Commissioner stated.
“People should provide information about those who have arrived abroad since January. Anyone who has a fever, cough or breathing problem should contact government doctors or call 1077 immediately. This information will help in providing timely treatment,” it added.
