Kasturba Hospital Manipal to continue normal OPD services for a few specialties
Manipal, April 13: Kasturba Hospital Manipal has decided to continue normal OPD services for a few specialties.
“We have decided to continue normal OPD services for the few basic specialties from April 15th April between 8.30 am and 1 pm,” Dr Avinash Shetty, Medical Superintendent, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal announced.
The specialities are General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Pulmonary Medicine, Orthopaedics, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiotherapy Oncology paediatric Haemato oncology, Palliative Medicine, Cardiology, Nephrology and Urology.
Those who visit the hospital should visit the temporary screening KIOSK set up outside the hospital. From there they would be shifted to the said respective departments.
Only one person can accompany the patient. Wearing mask is mandatory.
“As you all know MAHE, Manipal has dedicated Dr. TMA Pai Hospital Udupi to treat Corona COVID 19 patients. So we have decided to continue normal OPD services for few specialities,” Dr. Sharath K Rao Dean, KMC Manipal said.
Doctor’s consultation through Telemedicine service is also available at 080-47192235 from 9 am to 4 pm only. Trauma and emergency services will function as usual, according to a press release by the Medical Superintendent.
