Udupi, April 06: Will bus and train service resume from April 15? While the online sites show the booking as open, officials still have some doubts over it.
With the number of COVID-19 increasing in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had declared National wide LockDown to control it. The Lockdown is scheduled to end on April 14 and has to be lifted from the next day.
As the number of positive cases and also deaths has seen an increase in the country, many people still feel that it could continue for some more days or would be relaxed after imposing some conditions.
But now websites show that buses, railways, and airlines have started advance bookings from April 15.
“One of my relatives wants to return to Udupi. When I checked the KSRTC website, it shows that ticket booking is open from April 15 morning,” Janardhan, a resident of Alevoor told https://thecanarapost.blogspot.com.
The IRCTC website too shows booking for the train. Similarly, some websites also show the availability of airline tickets from April 15.
However, KSRTC officials say that the final decision has not yet been taken.
“We have not yet received any communication on resuming the service. Websites may show tickets available as one-month advance booking are shown automatically,” a senior KSRTC officer said.
