Konkan Railway contributes to PM-CARES fund
Mangaluru, March 31: Konkan Railway has contributed ₹1,06,00,000 from its CSR Funds and ₹79,50,000 from one day basic pay of Employees to Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (“PM CARES Fund”).
“Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, the current situation in India and across the World is of grave concern and needs immediate action. At this moment Konkan Railway understands that the need of the hour is greater than any other time,” a press statement from Mr L K Verma, Chief Public Relations Officer, Konkan Railway stated.
“The Government of India is undertaking various efforts to curb the virus and provide essential items to all. In support of the same, Konkan Railway continues its efforts towards ensuring availability of essential commodities. As an additional step to help in the Nation’s fight against COVID-19 Konkan Railway contributed ₹1,06,00,000/- from CSR Funds and ₹79,50,000/- from one day basic pay of Employees and same has been remitted to Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (“PM CARES Fund”),” he said.
“Konkan Railway continues to strive in support of Nation’s fight against Coronavirus,” he added.
