Phone-in-program with Deputy Commissioner on COVID-19

Karwar, March 24: When COVID-19 is threatening the entire world, how is the condition in Uttara Kannada? At what stage is the district? Is the situation alarming? Are the people of the district safe? What should we do to ensure that we are not infected? What are the measures taken by the District Administration to ease public anxiety? These are the questions haunting every citizen in the district.
Uttara Kannada has 12 Taluks and about 75 percent of the district is under forest cover. A big number of the population is in rural areas.

Naturally, people would have many questions.

Thus the district administration has decided to answer all the queries through a phone-in -program on March 25

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harisakumar K, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer M Roshan and District Health and Family Welfare Officer G N Ashok Kumara will answer all these questions related to COVID-19 including the measures taken by the district administration and the preparedness during the phone-in program hosted by the Department of Information and Public Relations on March 25.

The program will be held from 10am on Wednesday and the public can ask questions directly to these officers by calling the Information and Public Relations Department at 08382-226344.
