Srinivas College of Pharmacy Hosts Orientation Programme for Fresh Batch of Students
Mangaluru, Sept 18, 2024: Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil Campus, Mangalore, organized an orientation programme for its new batch of students on September 18, 2024. The event aimed to introduce the students to the institution’s academic environment and provide guidance for their professional journey in pharmacy.
Dr. A. Raghavendra Rao, President of the A. Shama Rao Foundation and Chancellor of Srinivas University, delivered the presidential address, urging students to cultivate a positive attitude, work diligently, and acquire essential knowledge to achieve success in life. He emphasized the importance of hard work in shaping a successful future.
Prof Mitra S Rao, Trustee Member of the Board of Governance at Srinivas University and Secretary of the A. Shama Rao Foundation, praised the newly admitted students for choosing pharmacy as their career path and encouraged them to excel in the profession.
Vijayalakshmi R Rao, Trustee Member and Director of Srinivas Group of Colleges, advised students to seek guidance and counseling from faculty members whenever needed, ensuring their academic success.
Dr. A.R. Shabaraya, Principal of Srinivas College of Pharmacy, welcomed the gathering and encouraged the budding pharmacists to work hard and strive for continuous excellence in their studies. Dr. Viresh K Chandur, Professor, presented an overview of the pharmacy profession, explaining the course content, rules, and regulations. He also reassured parents about the safety and academic rigor offered by the institution.
The programme was attended by newly admitted students along with their parents, who expressed appreciation for the academic quality at Srinivas College of Pharmacy. The event was anchored by Dr. Padmavathi P. Prabhu and Ms. Smitha C.S. Rai, with Dr. Viresh K Chandur proposing the vote of thanks.
