Chappara Muhurtha: Udupi’s Puthige Matha Readies for ‘Paryaya Mahotsava’
Udupi, Dec 20, 2023: The eagerly awaited ‘Paryaya Mahotsava’ of Puthige Matha in Udupi is set to unfold, marking the commencement of the 4th Paryaya of Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadaru. This morning, at 7.45 am, the Chappara Muhurtha took place, signaling the countdown to the grand event.
Notably, four Muhurthas, namely Baale Muhurtha, Akki Muhurtha, Kattige Muhurtha, and Batta Muhurtha, have already been observed in preparation for the religious festivities. Today’s ceremonial proceedings were overseen by Raghavendra Kodancha.
During the event, the individuals in charge of Chappara, namely Rajesh, Muchur Ramachandra Bhat, Nagaraj Upadhya, and Padmanabha, were bestowed with prasadam. Former MLA Raghupathi Bhat, the Working President of the Committee, unveiled vehicle stickers.
The event witnessed the participation of key figures, including Diwan Nagaraja Acharya, Prasanna Acharya, Treasurer Ranjan Kalkur, Secretary Raghavendra Kini, and Samiti office bearers Gururaj Upadhya, Vishnumurthy Upadhya, Ravindra Acharya, Raghupati Rao, Hayavadana Bhat, Rama Kodancha, Nagaraj Rao, Ramachandra Sanil, Sumitra Keremata, Amita Kramadhari, Saroja, Geeta, and others. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the Paryaya Mahotsava gears up for a grand spectacle.
