Minister Vaidya Launches Janata Darshan in Karwar, Pledges Justice for All
Karwar, September 25, 2023: Minister for Fisheries, Ports and Inland Water Transport and District In-charge, Mankal S Vaidya, assured that the ‘Janata Darshan’ initiative will bring justice to every member of society, particularly the underprivileged, all under one roof.
He made these remarks while inaugurating the ‘Janata Darshana’ program at the Sagara Darshana Auditorium in Kodibaga.
Vaidya emphasized that all government offices in the district should promptly review applications and provide necessary assistance to the public. He warned that officials found loitering without cause in government offices would face strict consequences. He urged officials to consider public applications on compassionate grounds and grant government provisions.
Furthermore, he instructed all departments to thoroughly examine applications received during the Janata Darshan program within a 10-day timeframe, aiming to address public issues in the district comprehensively. Minister Vaidya also announced government’s plans to extend Janata Darshan programs to the taluk level in the near future.
MLA Satish Sail pledged continuous service to the district’s residents and committed to ensuring justice for all.
During the Janata Darshan, a range of issues were raised, including matters concerning the revenue department, ration card transfers, housing allotments, and panchayat-level concerns. Minister Vaidya directed for these matters to be swiftly resolved, with detailed reports and necessary follow-ups.
Over 115 applications were received, with 41 pertaining to the Revenue Department and 17 to the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department. The Minister’s proactive approach aims to streamline government services and provide accessible solutions for citizens in need.
