St. Agnes College Hosts Session on Green Skills for Sustainable Future
Mangaluru, September 10, 2023: The Post Graduate Department of Commerce at the Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research, St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, organized an enlightening session on “Green Skills for Sustainable Future” held on September 6.
The guest for the session was Froidy Fernandes, Head of Department & Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany.
She underscored the intrinsic connection between nature and humanity, emphasizing the imperative of sustainability and judicious resource utilization. She urged attendees to nurture and tend to their own plants, emphasizing the collective responsibility in contributing towards a better world. Furthermore, she delved into the versatile applications of green skills across various industries.
Sr. Dr. M. Vinora A.C., PG Coordinator, commended the department for orchestrating this enlightening program. The main objective of the session was to impart a broad spectrum of knowledge, skills, and attitudes among higher education students concerning Green Skills.
Postgraduate students from diverse departments attended the session, which concluded successfully under the guidance of Dr. Dolan Champa Banerjee, HOD of M. Com. The event commenced with a warm welcome from Merin V M, followed by Samruddhi serving as the session’s host, and Sumaiyya, a final-year M. Com student, concluding the proceedings.
