Thunderstorm warning issued for Coastal Karnataka
Udupi, April 15, 2023: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued thunderstorm warning for Coastal Karnataka districts.
According to the warning, thunderstorms with rain accompanied by lightning are likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Coastal Karnataka for the next five days.
The warning has been divided into five days, with each day having its own set of districts that are likely to witness thunderstorm.
Till April 17 morning, thunderstorms with rain and lightning are likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka.
On the next day (till April 18 morning), the warning is limited to Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts of Coastal Karnataka.
Two days after that (till April 20 morning), thunderstorms with rain and lightning are likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka.
It is advised to stay indoors and avoid going out in the open during the thunderstorm. People are also advised to take necessary precautions and stay away from trees and other tall objects during the thunderstorm.
