No Hulivesha no crackers: Dharmika Parishat
Mangaluru, Oct 03: There will be no Hulivesha during Navarathri and no crackers for Deepavali this time. With few days left for Navarathri and Deepavali, the District Dharmika Parishad has taken some major decisions in the wake of COVID pandemic.
Guidelines:
In temples with a many devotees, wearing a mask, use of sanitizer, and thermal scanning should be made compulsory. Temples have to take the help of local volunteers and officials to enforce this.
No stage and cultural program on the roadside.
No ‘Huli Vesha,’ during Dasara.
In case of cultural programs within the temples, seating arrangements should be made following social distancing. Events should be telecasted through social media.
No permission for massive pandals and there will not be any temporary shops (Santhe).
Considering the health of the public, it was decided to ban the collection, sale, and use of crackers during Deepavali.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra and was attended by all the members of the Parishad and the heads of Kudroli, Mangaladevi, Bolara, and Venkatramana temples.
