CM assures Rs 10 crore to tackle areca disease
Udupi, Nov 07, 2022: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has assured to release Rs 10 crore for the medicine to tackle arecanut leaf spot disease.
Chief Minister was speaking after laying the foundation stone and inaugurating various projects today.
The CM assured to release the money at the earliest.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM assured to take measures to distribute Parboiled rice in Public Distribution System.
“Consumption of Parboiled rice is common in this region. It has been suggested to purchase the parboiled rice from farmers and distributed it through PDS. We are aware of the needs and wants of the people. A report of our work will be placed before the people in the coming days. We are continuously working on the development of the state. Development is a cycle. It should never stop,” he said.
Vidyanidhi for children of 2 lakh fishermen
“The Raita Vidyanidhi Scheme has also been extended to the children of farm laborers this year. In a few days, it will be extended full-fledged to the children of 2 lakh fishermen in the coastal areas. This is a big revolution. The working class must live a life of self-respect through self-reliance,” he said.
