Krishna Matha helps flood affected people
Udupi, Sep 21: Sri Krishna Matha extended a helping hand to the flood affected people by providing breakfast and lunch on Monday.
Bailakere, Kalsanka and Kunjibettu, situtated near Udupi Sri Krishna Matha were affected by the flood. Water had entered many houses which forced people to shift to safer places.
Though many returned home after the water receded, cleaning the house, setting things in order and preparing food was a difficult task.
Considering this, Sri Eeshapriya Teertha Swamiji, the present Paryaya Peetadhipathi, directed the officials of the Matha to speak to the people and provide food to them.
In the morning Adamaru Matha manager Govindaraj and businessman Harish Bailakere visited the flood affected houses near Udupi Sri Krishna Matha and spoke to the people.
Breakfast was provided to the people.
In the afternoon Anna prasadam was supplied to 400 people of 80 families. People were given rice, rasam, pumpkin sambar and payasam.

MLA Raghupathi Bhat along with officials, Y N R Rao of Sri krishna Seva Balaga and others were present.
On Sunday night, during the Pooja, Sri Eeshapriya Teertha Swamiji offered special prayers to Sri Krishna and Mukhyaprana for the safety of the people.
