Udupi on Krishna Janmashtami Day
Udupi, Aug 19, 2022: Hundreds of devotees had darshan of Udupi Sri Krishna on the occasion of Janmashtami on Friday. Sri Krishna was in Yashoda Krishna Alankara.
For the devotees, it was a feast for eyes and ears as they enjoyed various competitions and cultural programs held as part of the Janmashtami program. (Results of the competition is given below)
While each event was attractive, the ‘Krishna Vesha competition was one of the crowd pullers. The ‘Huli Vesha,’ by the differently abled Peace Foundation, Manipal was another event that attracted attention.
Ratha Beedhi (Car Street) was bustling with activities. People stood near Katpanjara- Kanaka Gopura to have the darshan at Kanakana Kindi.
The staff and students of SMSP College participated in Laddu-Chakkuli preparation.
