Very heavy rain likely in Coastal districts
Udupi, July 18, 2022: Isolated places in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rain till July 19 morning.
In its bulletin, IMD- Bengaluru said that heavy to very heavy rain (115.6 mm to 204.4 mm) is likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka.
Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at isolated places in all three districts.
Subrahmanya in Dakshina Kannada district recorded very heavy rain (16 cm).
Heavy rainfall amounts (in cm): Mudibidre (Dakshina Kannada dt), Karkala (Udupi dt) 9 each; Belthangady, Puttur, Dharmasthala (all Dakshina Kannada dt), Sampaje (Kodagu dt) 8 each; Sulya (Dakshina Kannada dt), Gerusoppa (Uttara Kannada dt), Bhagamandala (Kodagu dt), Agrahara Konanandur (Shivamogga dt), Sringeri, Jayapura, Koppa (all Chikkamagaluru dt) 7 each.
