“Over 7,000 people have come from other states and countries to Udupi district. All have been quarantined and steps are taken to prevent COVID from being spread to the community,” Bhat said while inaugurating the mobile throat swab collection units at Udupi.
“The 12 positive patients in the district are those who had come from other countries and states. They were quarantined as soon as they entered the district and thus it has not spread to others. The elected representatives and officials are working as a single team due to which the district has succeeded in controlling the virus,” he said.
