Dakshina Kannada records 79 new COVID cases
Mangaluru, June 16: Dakshina Kannada district saw a sudden surge in the number of COVID cases with 79 new cases, the highest in Karnataka on Tuesday.
The state registered 317 positive cases today.
Of the 79 positives in Dakshina Kannada, 75 are UAE returnees, 3 from Maharashtra, and one patient (P-7352) with Influenza-Like Illness.
All the 7 positives in Udupi are Maharashtra returnees.
Among the 6 positives in Uttara Kannada, one had returned from New Delhi. A patient (P-7372) is the contact of P-4539. The remaining four are Maharashtra returnees.
