COVID-19: Total number of cases increases to 2222 in Udupi

Udupi, July 19: The number of cases of those suffering from the COVID virus further increased in Udupi district with the addition of 134 new patients on Sunday. 

The district health bulletin stated the total number of cases in the Udupi district till date is 2,222. Of this 1,628 have been cured and discharged. The total number of active cases are 584. 

Twelve people have been discharged from the Isolation ward on Sunday. 

Of the total positive 60 are from Udupi taluk, 52 from Kundapura and 23 from Karkala. 

Details: Of the 134 patients 3 had returned from Mangaluru, one each from Dubai, Chennai and Mumbai. Four had returned from Bengaluru. Five had respiratory infection and 31 with influenza-like illness
