COVID-19: Uttara Kannada crosses 4,000 mark

Karwar, Aug 24: With 96 cases on Monday, Uttara Kannada crossed 4,000 mark. 

The total number of COVID cases in the district has reached 4,044 of which 913 are active and 3090 are cured. On Monday 50 patients were discharged in the district.

Mundgod recorded the highest cases today (18) followed by Bhatkala (17), Karwar (16), Sirsi (12), Yellapura (8), Haliyala (7), Joida (6), Honnavara (5), Ankola 94) and Kumta (3). No cases were reported in Siddapura taluk.

The health bulletin states that a patient from Karwar died increasing the number of deaths to 41.
