COVID-19: 136 cases in Uttara Kannada

Karwar, Aug 25: Uttara Kannada district on Tuesday recorded 136 new cases and three deaths.

With this, the total number of cases in the district has reached 4,180 of which 939 are active and 3,197 cured. On Tuesday 107 patients were discharged after treatment. 

Ankola recorded a sharp increase in the number of cases on  Tuesday. No cases were reported from Joida taluk. Ankola and Haliyala recorded 32 cases each followed by Mundgod (21), Honnavara (17), Sirsi (11), Bhatkala (8), Yellapura (7), Kumta (4), Karwar (3) and Siddapura (1). 

Deaths:

One death each reported in Karwar, Bhatkala and Haliyala.
