Udupi: New building of government hospital to be ready by 2023
Udupi, July 14, 2021: The new building of the government hospital in Udupi is likely to be open to the public by 2023.
State health minister Dr. K Sudhakar who was in Udupi today told reporters that the work will be completed within 15 months and will be open for public service by 2023.
When asked about the problem faced in the maintenance of BRS MCH Hospital at Udupi, the minister said it would be taken up next week by the government.
Dr. Sudhakar lauded the Udupi district administration for standing second only to Bengaluru in vaccination. Udupi has covered 45 percent of the eligible category with the first dose of vaccine.
Meanwhile, he asked the people not to continue to be alert as the third wave of Covid is sure to come as predicted by the experts.
He suggested the people avoid social gatherings.
