Belthangady, April 09, 2021: Dharmasthala Police have arrested two people in connection to a theft case that took place a few days ago.

Kalpana Chandrashekhar Naik of Sirsi had come to Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala on April 1.

She had entered the temple at 7 am and after darshan at the temple she came out at 7.30 am when she found the box comprising golden chain and golden bracelet missing. The box was inside the bag which Kalpana’s mother Bhavani was holding.

The value of the stolen gold was estimated to be around ₹3 .20 lakh. A case was registered at Dhamasthala station.

Working on the tipoff the police arrested Siddhartha (26) and his wife Drakshayni Korachara (26) of Gadag Taluk.
The Innova car used by the accused has also been seized.

Team behind the arrest: The police team included Belthangady Inspector Sandesh PG, Dharmasthala SI Pavan Nayak, Head Constables Bennichhan, Prashanth, and Rahul Rao.
