Swabhimani Raitha Cards for farmers on anvil
Karkala, Jan 18, 2021: State government proposes to distribute special personalized cards to the farmers with all details right from the name and address to the Bank account number.
“In Koppala we have distributed 1.5 lakh ‘Swabhimani raitha,’ cards. These cards are specially designed personalized card which will have all details including the name, survey number, Aadhaar, and bank details. When the farmer goes to a bank the card can be placed on the card reader there. The officials there can get all the details. A farmer need not carry his RTC everywhere but can use this card,” he said.
Krishi Sanjeevini- Lab to Land:
Patil also gave details about plans to connect all the agriculture extension centers to Mobile testing facilities.
It is like 108 in the health department. The farmer who has a problem related to the crop can call the help center (155313). The Krishi Sanjeevini vehicle headed by an agriculture graduate will go to the land and study the humidity and other details and check the problem and also suggest the treatment.
“We have started it as a pilot project in Koppal with 20 such vehicles. At present every district has one such vehicle. Our aim is t have it in all the 519 agricultural extension centers in the state. The CM has given in-principal approval for this,” he said.
