Only Kundapur contributes to COVID cases today
Udupi, Dec 18, 2020: Kundapur was the only Taluk in Udupi district that recorded COVID cases on Friday.
Udupi district recorded five COVID cases on Friday and all the five were from Kundapur Taluk. No cases were reported from Udupi and Karkala.
Of the five patients, four are under Home Isolation and one under treatment at hospital.
Death: After many days Udupi recorded one death. The 69-year-old male from Karkala Taluk was suffering from severe COVID-19 with acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, disseminated intravascular coagulation, Type-2 respiratory failure, and Diabetes Mellitus type-2.
