MAHE to Host 5K Run for Mental Health Awareness

Manipal, Oct. 08, 2025: The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, will host a 5K Run for Mental Health on Saturday, October 11, starting at 4:00 PM from the EDU Building, Manipal. The event is organised by MAHE’s Department of Student Affairs and powered by Federal Bank.
The flagship wellness initiative aims to raise awareness about mental health, foster dialogue, and encourage community participation through physical activity. Highlighting the critical importance of mental well-being for academic success and personal growth, the event reflects MAHE’s commitment to supporting students, staff, and the wider campus community.
The 5K run is designed to encourage participation across MAHE’s diverse community. Separate categories have been created for male and female participants in three groups: MAHE Students, MAHE Staff, and MAHE Staff Dependents. Winners in each category will be awarded cash prizes of ₹5,000 for first place, ₹3,000 for second place, and ₹2,000 for third place. All finishers will receive commemorative medals, and registered participants will be given event t-shirts.
