MAHE Bags FICCI Award for Excellence in Research and Innovation

Manipal, Oct. 07, 2025: The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has won the FICCI Award for Excellence in Research and Innovation (Private) at the 20th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2025 held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The award was presented by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Jairam Gadkari.
Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, VSM (Retd), Vice Chancellor of MAHE, received the award on behalf of the institution. He was accompanied by Bharath Kumar, Director, Directorate of PR, Media & Social Media, and Ekalabya Barooah, Deputy Director, Corporate Engagement and Career Services, MAHE Bengaluru Campus.
Pro-Chancellor Dr. H. S. Ballal said the recognition validates MAHE’s efforts to build a strong research and innovation ecosystem that connects academia with industry. He added that the university remains committed to developing solutions that address real-world challenges.
Vice Chancellor Lt. Gen. (Dr.) Venkatesh said the award reflects MAHE’s focus on research excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration. “Our researchers, faculty, and students continue to push the boundaries of knowledge across disciplines. This recognition motivates us to further strengthen our research infrastructure and stay at the forefront of innovation in higher education,” he said.
MAHE’s award underscores its growing national prominence in research, innovation, and global collaboration, with significant contributions across healthcare, technology, engineering, and the social sciences.
