Srinivas University: Institute of Aviation Studies Organises Essay Writing Contest
Mangaluru, Aug 12, 2025: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, conducted an essay writing competition on Wednesday as part of an anti-drug awareness drive organised by its Anti-Drug Committee in collaboration with the Management Forum.
A total of 201 students from BBA Aviation Management, BBA Aviation & Logistics Management, and BBA Aviation Travel & Tourism Management programmes participated. The event was held under the leadership of Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean of the Institute, and coordinated by Ms. Anjana T.V., Head of Department, along with other faculty members.
The contest, themed “Saying No to Drugs is Saying Yes to Life”, aimed to highlight the dangers of drug abuse and encourage students to lead a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
In the first-year category, Mashshooma (BBA Aviation Management) bagged the first prize, while Manjo K.S. (BBA Aviation Management) and Haifa Mariyam (BBA Aviation & Logistics Management) were adjudged runners-up. In the second and final-year category, Vandana Variyar (BBA Aviation & Logistics Management) secured first place, followed by Meenakshi Rajeev (BBA Aviation Management) as runner-up.
