Srinivas University Conducts Hands-on Training Session
Mangaluru, July 26, 2025: The Department of Perfusion Technology at Srinivas University’s Institute of Allied Health Sciences (SIAHS) organized a hands-on training session on “Circuit Assemble, Prime & Monitoring” on Friday, July 19, 2025. The session, held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the university’s Engineering Block, aimed to enhance practical and technical skills among perfusion technology students.
The session was led by Mr. George Saju, a renowned Cardiac Perfusionist and ECMO Coordinator at Suchirayu Hospital, Hubballi. Drawing on his extensive clinical expertise, Mr. Saju provided demonstrations and in-depth guidance on circuit setup, priming procedures, and real-time monitoring—key aspects of modern perfusion practice.
Students participated enthusiastically and gained critical insights into the functioning and handling of cardiac perfusion systems. The event was coordinated by Ms. Sana Farhath, Convenor of the Department of Perfusion Technology, under the guidance of Prof. Pavana Krishnamoorthy, Dean of SIAHS.
The program concluded on a positive note with encouraging feedback from participants, who appreciated the opportunity to bridge classroom learning with real-world application.
