Udupi: Dr TMA Pai Hospital Introduces Medical Oncology Services
Udupi, March 18, 2025: Dr. T.M.A. Pai Hospital has introduced Medical Oncology services, offering specialized cancer care every Thursday. Dr. Sharada Mailankodi, Associate Professor at Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal, will be available for consultations on a weekly basis.
Outpatient consultations will be held every Thursday from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, providing expert guidance on various oncological conditions, including breast and gynecological malignancies, geriatric cancers, prostate and genitourinary cancers, lung cancers, survivorship care, and supportive care for cancer patients.
The new department will focus on systemic treatment planning, chemotherapy monitoring, maintenance therapy, oral metronomic chemotherapy, and follow-up care for cancer survivors, particularly breast cancer patients. It will also provide counseling on treatment options, immunization for cancer patients, multiple myeloma treatment, and cancer awareness initiatives.
