Indradhanush 5.0 Immunization Drive in Mangaluru Gains Strong Government Support
Mangaluru, September 5, 2023: Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner Anand CL has emphasized the importance of vaccinating all children residing within the city limits as part of the Intensified Indradhanush 5.0 immunization campaign.
He made this statement during the Intensified Mission Indradhanu 5.0 meeting held at the Municipality auditorium today.
“The government’s Mission Indradhanush program aims to provide vital immunization vaccines to unvaccinated children,” he said and stressed the need to extend this initiative to all eligible children, including those of construction workers and apartment residents in the city.
He called for increased awareness and promotion of the vaccination program and emphasized that the program’s success hinges on the collaborative efforts of the labor department, public education department, women and child development department, and other organizations.
The meeting was attended by District Health RCH Officer Dr. Rajesh BV, W.H.O. Surveyor Dr. Anantesh Barkur, Mangaluru Taluk Health Officer, Sujay Kumar, Medical Officers of Urban Primary Health Centres (PHCs) under Mangaluru City Corporation limits, as well as officials and staff from various departments.
