Karwar: Navy Children School organizes Inter School Yoga competition
Karwar, June 29, 2022: In commemoration of 8th International Day of Yoga based on the theme “Yoga for Humanity”, Navy Children School (NCS), Karwar celebrated a Yoga week which culminated on 29 June 2022, with an Inter School Yoga Competition.
A total of 30 children from five schools – KV Karwar, Saint Michael, Amrita Vidyalaya, Bal Mandir and NCS, Karwar participated in the competition.
Anjali Singh, Principal, NCS and the judges inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. The competition was categorized in three age groups: under-12, under-14 and under-16.
Three asanas were performed by each participant within a span of four minutes. The spectators were spellbound by the performance of each participant and the event culminated with the winners being felicitated with certificates, medals and trophies by the Chief Guest, Goolrukh Anand, President NWWA, Karwar.
