Beach cleaning held at Panambur
Coast Guard Karnataka along with Team New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) and NCC students participated in the campaign
Mangaluru, June 07, 2022: Coast Guard Karnataka along with Team New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) and NCC students conducted Beach cleaning at Panambur beach on June 7.
The event was held as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration.
The participants removed the plastic bottles, fishing nets, carry bags, and other wastes at the 2 km stretch near the beach.
This program is a part of a series by the Indian Coast Guard to promote awareness of coastal security and instill a sense of pride amongst the local peoples.
The active participation of the fishermen during the interaction displayed their enthusiasm and involvement. All the stakeholders lauded the efforts by the Indian Coast Guard to improve the relations with the coastal populace and fishermen.
