Taluk-level Arogya Melas in Dakshina Kannada district from April 18
Mangaluru, April 16, 2022: Taluk-level Arogya Melas will be held in Dakshina Kannada district from April 18.
District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr. Kishore Kumar told reporters that the program is being held as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Taluk-level Arogya Mela will be held on April 18 at Sudhana Residential School in Puttur, at Krishnanughra Auditorium in Belthangady on April 19, at Surathkal Arogya Kendra on April 20, at ZP Higher Primary School in Bantwal on April 21 and at KVG Medical College- Sullia on April 22.
Ayushman Bharat Card would be provided for those who produce a copy of the ration card and Aadhaar card. At the same time, screening for non-communicable diseases will also be carried out.
The DHO said these meals will help in detecting and counseling diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and cancer at an early stage. Simple information about food adulteration will be provided to the common man in the program.
All doctors and all service facilities related to the health sector will be available at the Mela.
