Udupi, March 27, 2022: Former Chief Minister Minister Jagadish Shettar and Legislative Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti released the ‘Kedara Kaje,’ Parboiled rice to the Hubballi-Dharwad market on March 26.
The rice is organically cultivated under ‘Hadilu Bhoomi Krishi Andolana,’ of Kedarautaana Trust led by Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat.
Inaugurating the program and releasing the rice, Legislative Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti appreciated the initiative taken in Udupi at a time when the interest of the youth is declining towards the agriculture sector.

Jagadish Shettar appreciated the Kedarautaana Trust for setting an example for the country by giving a facelift to thousands of acres of agricultural lands that were left fallow for years.
He promised to make efforts at the government level to provide more facilities to the agriculture sector, especially to Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.
K. Raghupathi Bhat thanked all the organizations and all those who joined hands with the Trust to cultivate the fallow land.
