Gadkari assures shifting of Surathkal tollgate
Mangaluru, March 15, 2022: Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has directed to shift the toll near NITK to NMPA.
People have been demanding closure of the toll near NITK. Considering this demand, the government has now decided to shift the toll inside Panambur port.
“The minister held a meeting at New Delhi today and directed to shift the toll into New Mangalore Port Authority. Money will be collected from the vehicles that enter and exit the port,” a press statement from Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel stated.
The Minister also ordered the upgradation of the Mani-Sampaje-Madikeri Road. The road from Mani to Sampaje would be four-laned and the stretch between Sampaje and Madikeri will be widened.
